Long-term aspiration

GAP Community Hub

A space to connect, learn and belong.

Our long-term ambition is an accessible community space in the Bradford district that brings family learning, youth support, community activities and partnership working together under one roof.

The GAP Community Hub is a future aspiration. It is not an existing venue or a confirmed development, and no premises have been secured.

Our vision

A welcoming place where families, young people, educators, community organisations and support services meet, so that support feels joined up rather than scattered.

What the hub could offer

  • Family learningSpace for GAP Families sessions, Chai & Chat and parent workshops.
  • Youth supportRooms for small-group learning and mentoring through GAP Forward.
  • Community activitiesGatherings, workshops and inclusive activities through GAP Together.
  • Partnership workingA base for local services and organisations to meet families where they are.

A welcoming and inclusive environment

Any future hub would be accessible, safe and designed with the people who will use it, reflecting the diversity of Bradford's communities.

Working with communities and local partners

We want the hub to be shaped by community needs, not assumptions. We would develop it in partnership with families, local organisations and support services.

How the vision could develop

The hub would only be pursued once our programmes are established and a sustainable funding and operating model is in place, with suitable premises, accessibility and all necessary approvals.

Help shape the future

If you have ideas about what a community hub should offer, or know of spaces or partners we should talk to, we would love to hear from you.
