Complaints procedure
Tell us when we get it wrong
We welcome feedback and treat every complaint fairly, confidentially and without disadvantage to you.
How to complain
Email admin@gapeducation.org.uk with the subject line "Complaint". Tell us what happened, when, who was involved and what you would like us to do. If you need help making a complaint, or would prefer another format, tell us and we will make reasonable adjustments.
Stage 1: response
We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to send a full response within 20 working days. If we need longer, we will tell you why and when to expect our reply.
Stage 2: review by a trustee
If you are not satisfied, reply within 20 working days asking for a review. A trustee who has not been involved will review your complaint and respond within 20 working days. Their decision is final within GAP Education.
Complaints about a trustee
Complaints about a trustee are handled by the Chair. Complaints about the Chair are handled by the Deputy Chair.
Safeguarding concerns
Safeguarding concerns are not handled through this procedure. Please follow our safeguarding guidance.
If you are still unhappy
- Concerns about how we use personal data: the Information Commissioner's Office.
- Serious concerns about how the charity is run, such as misuse of funds: the Charity Commission.
